Rethinking Food Safety Training
All Pennsylvania restaurants must have a Person-in-Charge on site during operating hours who has Food Protection Manager Certification. This certification is obtained through a proctored multiple choice test.
Training is helpful to prepare for this test and can be obtained in 2 ways:
1. Online Training Modules (requires an internet connection)
2. In-person Training (requires 2 days away from the restaurant)
Traditional Training and Certification often cost more than $150 per person.
That is a large expense for new and small businesses.

Training can be delivered right to your kitchen. Learning can be hands-on and in real-time!

All staff can be included in the training at no extra charge. This gets everyone moving in the same direction.

Training Duration
The training takes a minimum of 8 hours* to be test-ready.

2 hours per week (1 to 2 sessions) over 4 weeks

Training Location
You have options for where the training takes place:

On-site Training - I'm happy to come on-site and present to your team. No equipment or prep needed. This often provides great opportunities to connect lessons right to the kitchen.

Online Training - Training can also be done during non-peak hours via Zoom.

Off-site Training - I can arrange a training location for an additional cost.

Exam Format
The exam can be taken online or as a paper copy. I am able to proctor both types.

Tests are also available in English and Spanish.

Please note that each trainee will need an email address to receive their certification and exam re-takes are not included in the price.

Certification can be printed by you or I can provide hard copies within 1 day.
